In the course of experiments with transferring the image to gypsum, an author's technique appeared that is somewhat reminiscent of "monotype". 

Only the imprint of paint occurs on liquid gypsum instead of paper. In fact, a series of images has turned out, where the nature of the material actually acts on an equal footing with the author. At the moment the paint penetrates the plaster, I do not control this process, which makes it mysterious and unpredictable. In this sacrament, miraculous art is born, the emerging images resemble the disappeared works of old masters. 

The theme of fragility, darkness, surface, the thinnest layers of pictorial matter, the question of the death of invention, all these questions I ask myself as an artist who wants to keep in touch with the old European art, the art of depicting a person.
