WITHOUT  BORDERS

Technological progress freed people from hard physical labor, many diseases and hunger, at the same time changed the environment and attitudes towards cultural heritage. This is especially evident in the ruins of recently collapsed ideologies. The consequences of the total exploitation of nature and the renunciation of one's historical past are inextricably linked, and are noticeable in the most remote corners of Belarus.

Creative project "Without borders", calls to focus on the change of the environment under the onslaught of man, the destruction of architectural monuments, the oblivion of the historical past, the pain for the preservation of natural nature, the hope for the revival of culture and a reverent attitude towards the place where we live ...

Western Polissya is fraught with historical places and is the birthplace of unique personalities associated with this region. One of these places is the town of Zakozel, which became the family estate of Orzeszek. They took an active part in the uprising of 1863. Historical events did not spare and this is a beautiful place. Gradually, falling into decay, passing from hand to hand, surviving wars and political experiments, the integrity of the estate has undergone significant changes. There are scattered fragments left to disappear.

The author depicted one of these fragments in photorealistic technique against the background of a flat golden space. The painting "Heritage" actually tangibly shows a small architectural element in the neo-Gothic style, filigree and lovingly made by the masters of the past on the facade of the once amazing beauty of the Orzeszek chapel. The chapel is in disrepair. Recovery is not planned.

On the painting “The Noise of Time”, the monumental gate, which once served as the main entrance to the chic Duboe park, is shown by the artist as an artifact of the past, decaying under the onslaught of time and dashing historical events that repeatedly ripped off its gates from its hinges.

About the inevitability of aging and death of the only surviving historical building, in a once unique park, “built according to the patterns of the architect Le Nôtre, with ponds, fountains, flower beds and clipped alleys ...” says the painting by Alexei Naumenko “Processes”. The baroque chapel, once decorated with stucco, stained-glass windows and frescoes, which served as the tomb of the princes Kuzhenitsky and the Church of the Holy Cross, is now in disrepair, turning into a phantom.
